The Brother HL-L2315DW isn’t that much cheaper than our budget pick, the Brother HL-L2350DW, but it’s much slower and has only 25 percent as much memory, so it may struggle with larger print jobs. You don’t really need to install any extra software for the HL-L2350DW because it has native Windows and Mac drivers. It also works automatically with AirPrint on iOS, and you can add it with the Brother Print Service on Android. Unfortunately, in our testing, printing from iPrint&Scan resulted in horrendous quality, regardless of the quality setting we selected. We reached out to Brother for comment, but the company wasn’t able to provide any explanation for the print-quality discrepancy.
